Simulation Control Design of Function of Ring Main Unit in Distribution Network

Ring network cabinet is a group of electrical equipment that installs high-voltage switchgear in steel metal cabinets or assembles spaced ring network power supply units. Its core components are circuit breakers, load switches and fuses. The ring main unit is used for dividing and closing load current, breaking short-circuit current and transformer no-load current, charging current of overhead lines and cable lines at a certain distance, and plays the role of control and protection. It is an important switch equipment for ring network power supply and terminal power supply. In the modern smart grid, the ring main unit as the intelligent terminal of the distribution network has become an important part of the smart grid construction, and the research technology of the smart ring main unit has also attracted the attention of professionals.
Restricted by the power system structure scale, equipment volume, weight and operating occasions, many tests, debugging and research on the system and its equipment require off-line simulation research. The ring network cabinets in practical applications are concentrated in substations, factories, residential quarters and load center distribution stations, etc., and it is difficult to conduct test debugging and simulation operations on them. In this paper, a portable off-line simulation device for opening and closing stations is developed, which is convenient for debugging experiments and simulations in the laboratory or training.
Based on the basic electrical process of the ring network cabinet, the simulation control of the ring network cabinet is completed through relays and electronic devices, using single-chip control and the transmission control protocol (TCP) communication of the upper computer to complete the simulation control of the ring network cabinet for relevant practitioners to simulate learning and demo. Use relays to simulate the switch of the ring main unit, and use the corresponding auxiliary contacts and buttons to simulate the five electrical defenses. At the same time, the corresponding control software is compiled, and the wireless network communication is used to transmit the control instructions, so as to realize the manual, electric, remote and nearby operation of the ring main unit. It can also record the operation of the ring network cabinet, display, output and print the operation records of the ring network cabinet.
