What should I do when a common circuit breaker encounters a fault?

Common troubleshooting methods are as follows:

1. Noise of undervoltage release

After working for a period of time, the undervoltage release will often produce abnormal noise, which may interfere in light, or burn out the coil in severe cases. Therefore, the oil and dust on the working surface of the iron core should be cleaned regularly, and the short-circuit ring should be replaced if it is found that the short-circuit ring is broken. The spring tension of the undervoltage release should also be adjusted until the air gap between the iron core and the armature meets the requirements.

2. Burnout of the micro motor

The failure of the travel switch will cause the micro-motor in the electric operating mechanism to burn out. For example, when the circuit breaker needs to be closed by the electric operating mechanism, press the closing button, the power supply circuit of the motor is connected, and the motor rotates. However, due to the failure of the travel switch, it cannot be disconnected, which will cause the motor to overheat and burn for a long time.

3. Short circuit caused by poor insulation

The insulation performance of the circuit breaker will gradually deteriorate after long-term use. If it is not properly maintained, dust accumulation and moisture erosion on the surface of the insulation parts will accelerate the aging of the insulation, which may cause phase-to-phase or phase-to-ground damage during power distribution operation or when short-circuit current is cut off. short circuit. Therefore, it is necessary to keep the insulation surface clean to prevent the insulation performance from deteriorating, so as to prolong the service life of the circuit breaker.
