Due to the different faults in the high-voltage switchgear, the corresponding detection methods are also different.

(1) On-line detection of mechanical characteristics, the monitoring contents include: closing and opening coil circuits, closing and opening coil currents and voltages, circuit breaker moving contact travel, circuit breaker contact speed, closing spring status, circuit breaker Mechanical vibration during the action, statistics of the number of circuit breaker operations, etc.

At present, the mechanical state monitoring of circuit breakers mainly includes the monitoring of stroke and speed, and the monitoring of vibration signals during operation. The mechanical vibration signal monitoring of the circuit breaker during operation is to judge the mechanical state of the circuit breaker according to the change of the appearance time and peak value of each vibration signal, combined with the current waveform of the opening and closing coils. For a circuit breaker with stable mechanical properties, the size of each peak value of the opening and closing vibration waveform and the time difference between each peak value are relatively stable.

(2) The on-line monitoring of electrical performance includes the monitoring of the weighted value of the breaking current of the circuit breaker and the vacuum degree of the arc extinguishing chamber. Using the equivalent wear curves under different breaking currents, the relative electrical wear corresponding to each current breaking is accumulated, and the total allowable electrical wear of each circuit breaker is determined by its rated short-circuit breaking current and the number of times the allowable breaking full capacity. For calibration, the accumulated wear amount of the contact is used as the basis for judging its electrical life.
